The Need Arrives as an Event, Not a Search
Almost no company wakes up and decides to go looking for a growth partner. The need shows up as an event. A regulator sends a letter. A funding round closes and the board wants results by next quarter. A round of departures leaves a function with no owner. Someone is suddenly responsible for a problem they did not plan for.
That is the part outsiders miss. They picture a buyer browsing options. The real buyer is triaging. They are not comparing vendors. They are asking who they already know that can help by Friday.
The need arrives as an event. The decision arrives as a name.
Which means the signal is only half of it. Seeing that a company just raised money, or was just cited, or just cut a team is public and available to anyone who looks. What is not available to just anyone is being the person whose name comes to mind at that moment, and who can put the right partner in front of them the same week.
That is the whole job. Watch where the events are landing, know which partners handle them well, and stay close enough to both sides that the introduction feels like relief and not interruption.
